Go Long On Fish 'n' Chips

According to the Mail, whose readers no doubt cherish their 100 per cent British food (forget all that hogwash about Sir Walter Raleigh bringing back spuds from America), shortages of mushy peas and potatoes are pushing up the price of fish and chips.

The bad weather has affected both crops and overall in the year to May, UK food prices rose by 4.9 per cent. I’m not eating any of that foreign muck, mind.
