On the MTV Cribs programme, various celebrities of different levels of success let a TV crew into their home to basically show it off and say without fail, as they enter the master bedroom, “this is where the magic happens”.

However, a number of homes featured on the MTV Europe football edition of the show were subsequently burgled after appearing on the programme. Crimes which one can’t help but smile about.

Now it seems that the naughty crims are turning to Location, Location, Location’s saucy pair Kirstie and Phil to show them round some potential goldmines.

A £1million Essex home which was featured on the show only a few weeks ago has been burgled, with a valuable painting worth £2,000 stolen. And the owners of the property are pointing the finger squarely at the TV show.

Said one half of the couple who own the property: “It is definitely connected with it being on Location, Location, Location.”

That’s not to say that Kirstie and Phil burgled the place themselves. Although, what a fabulous story that would make.
