Pensioner Scoops Record Bingo Win

bingo%20win.jpgWhile one lucky bugger is celebrating his Lotto win, pensioner Pauline Clarke is herself, at this very moment, necking Dom Perignon and throwing wads of cash around a bedroom full of naked Chippendales. Possibly.

Anyway, the mother of two will more than likely have a rather large smile on her face today after scooping the £1million prize-money on a bingo website.

Clarke had been playing the online Gala Bingo game for only two months when she won the record prize ahead of 15,000 other competitors.

Says she: “I'm absolutely shocked - my heart is still racing. I've been playing bingo for years and I had always thought I would win big. I just wish my husband was around to see it."

It could have all been very different for Clarke, from Brislington, Bristol, as the Telegraph desperately tries to add some drama to the story. Apparently she was down to the last 60p in her Gala online account when she decided to enter the KerChingo jackpot draw. Phew.

Oh, and she had quit going to bingo 13 years ago when her husband died. Now, that’s better.
