Bid To Save The Planet & Have A Walking Shark Named After You

This is your chance to name ten newly discovered creates.

The organisms have been located in the waters off Papua. And for the right donation you can have one or more of them named after you.

In 2004, a monkey discovered in Bolivia became known as the Golden-Palace.com monkey after attracting naming bids of $400,000.

The star turn is the walking shark. Offers above and beyond $500,000.

If the suggested starting bids are achieved, the sale will raise more than $1.85 million (£900,000), writes the paper.

The auction will be hosted by Prince Albert II of Monaco. Monies raised will be being used to protect the region's wirldlife.

Any funds left over will go towards protecting endangered European Royalty...
